I am a freelance artist and qualified Adult Education tutor, specialising in illustration, equestrian art, animals and portraiture. I originally trained for 4 years in Graphic Design at Loughborough College of Art and Design, and then in 1990 worked for a design department for 10 years. During those years I found I preferred illustration, so in 2000 I went freelance to pursue that path.
Since moving to Cumbria, I trained as an Adult Education tutor and now teach drawing and watercolours to beginners. Alongside that, I paint portraits, greeting cards and accept commissions.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic I have had to abandon teaching, so I am now able to spend more time on commissions during the lockdown.

Hi Juliet, please get in touch, I have the Solway Coast AONB illustrations coming up. Andrew
Hi Juliet, I’ve been asked to paint a watercolour painting that can be reprinted by our Mothers Union UK. My painting would be produced into a Christmas card and given, not sold, to the prisoners at Haverigg prison in south lakes Cumbria. I’d like to paint the phone box/post box card that was done years ago and use my interpretation as their Christmas card, but I feel I should get your permission first. Thanking you kindly in advance.
